Joe grew up in Northeast Minneapolis with 8 siblings and two incredibly busy and dedicated parents. He has a B.A. in Theology from the University of St. Thomas. 

Being interested in numerous fields and ventures, Joe taught English in Japan for four years, worked as a freelance writer, cable and public television host, magazine publisher, and held a variety of sales positions in for-profit and non-profit sectors, including supported employment for adults with disabilities.

These days he is blessed to share daily life and a newly empty nest with his wife, Dawn, who works in communications.  His adopted daughter, Summer, from China, who is a full-time EMT is continuing her studies at Century College to become a paramedic; and his son, William, who is a state champion runner just started his freshman year at Duke University.  Joe is thrilled to join such a passionate and professional team at Every Meal to fulfill such a vital mission in the community.
