Together, We’ve Provided 23,035 bags of food – and There’s More to do!
We are incredibly grateful for your support, which has allowed Every Meal to distribute over 20,000 additional food bags to children in our community during this time of urgent need.
You made this possible.
Since January, 1,595 individuals and organizations came together to fund this effort along with 953 volunteers who helped to implement it. As of today, you have helped Every Meal deliver 23,035 food bags directly to trusted school and community partners who ensure they reach children in our community.
This movement is a powerful reminder of what community can do. What YOU can do.
As we shared a few weeks ago – we know 23,035 bags of food do not meet the full need.
To meet the increased need in our community for the next 2-3 weeks, we anticipate needing to provide at least another 20,000 bags of food to Minnesota kids. Please continue to join in this mission by donating, volunteering, and sharing about what’s happening in our community across your network.

Responding to the increased need for food support in our community.

Our hearts are with the children and families across Minnesota.
The increased presence of ICE has created fear and uncertainty within our community and schools, often preventing families and children from accessing essential resources like food.
At Every Meal, we exist to ensure children have the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Right now, we are seeing a significant increase in the need for food support.
Responding to Increased Need
In response, Every Meal is launching an effort to provide an additional 20,000 food bags to children and families across our community. These food bags are designed to be nutritious, delicious, and relevant– meeting children where they are and honoring their dignity.
We also want to be transparent: 20,000 food bags will not fully meet the demand we are seeing. This effort is not intended to be a generic fundraising campaign. It is a call for direct, immediate impact. As additional funds are donated, we will increase the number of food bags we are able to provide so more children are supported.
Working Alongside Schools and Partners
We are working closely with schools and trusted community partners to ensure kids and families continue to receive the food they need. As circumstances evolve, we are adapting alongside our partners– listening, responding and adjusting to meet the realities families are facing.

Statement from Hunger Relief Organizations Serving Minnesota
Every Meal has joined some 100 Minnesota hunger-relief organizations in signing a joint statement expressing concern about the impact of Operation Metro Surge on the communities we serve.
Our community should not have to choose between safety and food.
